The Tomtit/ Miromiro looks similar to a robin. They are a small songbird bird with a large head, a short bill and tail, and live in forest and scrub. They are found from Northland to Stewart Island, particularly in forests of the central North Island and along the west coast of the South Island from Northwest Nelson to Fiordland.
